Order number 11136 is the black version of the pre-aspherical 90mm Summicron-M, Leica's fast short telephoto for the M rangefinder. The third version ran from 1980 to 1998 and accounts for 29,853 lenses, using five elements in four groups designed by Walter Mandler, an eleven-blade diaphragm and a one-metre minimum focus. At about 475 g the black lens is far lighter than the chrome. Wide open it is sharp on the subject with quiet, even falloff behind it.
