The Leica Summaron-M 35mm f/3.5 (factory code SOONC-MW) is a rare goggle-eyed variant produced exclusively for the Leica M3 from 1958 to 1960. It employs a Tessar-type optical design with 6 elements in 4 groups, delivering exceptional sharpness and minimal distortion even at full aperture. The goggles couple directly to the M3’s 0.91× viewfinder for accurate 35mm framing. Only approximately 2,200 units were manufactured, making this one of the scarcest M-mount wide-angle lenses from the Leitz Wetzlar era.
