Konishiroku, the company that later traded as Konica, built very few lenses in Leica screw mount, and the 50mm f/1.9 Hexanon is the best known of them. It dates from 1959, the closing years of the Japanese rangefinder era, when most makers were already committing to single lens reflex systems. It fits any Leica thread body, and any M body through an adapter. Screw-mount Hexanons are seen far less often than the Canon and Nikkor standards of the same period.
