Product Description

This M2 has been repainted black. It is an aftermarket refinish, not one of the 1,851 black paint cameras Leitz built, and it should be read as such rather than as a factory colour. Underneath is a standard M2, one of 93,221 serial numbers assigned between 1957 and 1968, with the 0.72x finder carrying 35, 50 and 90mm brightlines, the first Leica rangefinder to offer a 35mm frame, and a cloth shutter running 1 to 1/1000s plus B.
