Product Description

The Leica Elmarit-M 28mm f/2.8 Version 1 is a rare early German-made wide-angle lens produced 1965–1972, featuring a 9-element in 5-group optical construction of modified Elmarit type derived from the pre-war 5cm Elmar formula. Built with 8 aperture blades and Leica M bayonet mount, it delivers exceptional contrast and edge sharpness even at f/2.8. Only approximately 2,600 units were manufactured, making this one of the scarcest production M-mount optics from the Leitz Wetzlar era.
