Leitz built the Elmar 135mm f/4 in M bayonet from 1960 to 1965, some 20,000 lenses, and this is the first version in silver finish. Four elements in four groups, E39 filters, about 440g: a compact long lens matched to the 135mm frameline of the M2 and M3. The optical head unscrews from its focusing mount for use on the Visoflex housings, which made it two lenses in one for anyone working with a reflex attachment as well as the rangefinder.
