Product Description

This is a chrome IIIg refinished in black by Kanto Camera of Japan, a workshop known for stripping plating back to the brass and relacquering to period pattern. It is an aftermarket finish, not a factory colour: Leitz built black IIIg bodies only as a run of 125 for the Swedish army in 1960. Mechanically it is the standard last screw-mount Leica of 1957 to 1960, with the enlarged parallax-corrected finder carrying 50mm and 90mm framelines, a self-timer and M3 shutter speeds.
