The Kino-Plasmat is Dr Paul Rudolph's fast Plasmat derivative for Hugo Meyer of Goerlitz, made from the 1920s in a spread of focal lengths and, at f/1.5, the fastest lens of its time. The 90mm is among the least often seen of the series, and complete examples surface only rarely. It is the lens behind the rendering collectors call three dimensional: crisp at the plane of focus wide open, backgrounds falling away into swirl, highlights strongly modelled.
