The Leica M3 (factory code 10150/IGEMO) is a 1963 silver chrome rangefinder produced during the model’s final high-output years, within a total run of 233,209 units. This example is factory-modified with the Abrahamsson M2 Rapidwinder baseplate for rapid thumb-lever film advance. The body is fitted with the classic 50 mm f/2 Summicron-M (type 1), a rigid six-element four-group Double Gauss design introduced in 1956 that became the standard fast normal lens for the M system.
