Sold into the Japanese market, this M7 carries the cursive Leica script engraved into the top plate in place of the standard block logo, a detail Leica otherwise kept for special editions and one Japanese buyers have long preferred. Mechanically it is the standard 0.72x black chrome M7 introduced in 2002: aperture priority automatic exposure, an electronically timed cloth shutter running 32 seconds to 1/1000s, DX film speed reading, TTL flash metering, and mechanical 1/60 and 1/125s speeds that still fire on flat batteries.
