The Amotal Anastigmat 2 inch f/2 is Taylor, Taylor and Hobson's six element fast standard, best known as the lens supplied on the Bell and Howell Foton of 1948, a spring motor 35mm camera thought to have been made in only a few hundred examples. It is coated, still unusual then, and engraved with a T2.2 transmission figure beside the f-number. In Leica screw mount it puts English Cooke drawing on a rangefinder body: rounded, softly modelled highlights falling away from a crisp plane of focus.
