The Super-Six was J.H. Dallmeyer's flagship fast lens, six elements in four groups on modified double Gauss lines, and the source of the rendering collectors call three-dimensional: sharp on the plane of focus, backgrounds falling into swirl, highlights modelled like oil paint. Almost every Super-Six on the market is a cine lens rehoused later, which is what makes this one worth noting: it is an original factory Leica screw mount example, rangefinder coupled as built, and it surfaces perhaps once a year.
