The Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 Version 1 (factory code 11307), introduced in 1968, is a rare 8-element double-Gauss design constructed with 8 elements in 6 groups. This first-version wide-angle Summicron was produced for only two years before replacement by the 6-element variant, making it one of the scarcest M-mount 35mm lenses. The black-paint body with yellow distance scale retains exceptional original finish in this example.
