Leica finished the Elmarit-M 90mm f/2.8 in titanium, order number 11899, to partner the titanium M bodies of the 1990s. Underneath it is the standard lens: Walter Mandler's four-element, four-group design in an E46 barrel with a built-in telescoping hood, focusing to 1m, drawn from a run of fewer than 24,520 lenses in all finishes between 1990 and 2007. Titanium was made in far smaller numbers than black or chrome, and matching titanium outfits are increasingly scarce.
