Introduced in 2014, the M-A is Leica's purely mechanical film camera, the first since the M4-P with no meter, no electronics and no battery of any kind. Shutter speeds run from 1 second to 1/1000 plus B, set entirely by hand from an external reading or by estimation, and the 0.72x finder carries frameline pairs for 28 and 90, 35 and 135, and 50 and 75mm on a selector lever. The one-piece brass body is finished here in black chrome, with the red dot deliberately left off.
