An early double stroke M3 repainted black after it left Leitz, rather than one of the 1,320 bodies the factory finished in black paint between 1959 and 1967. As an early camera it keeps the glass film pressure plate, the pre-1957 shutter speed scale and the two-stroke advance used until 1958. A repaint is an aftermarket refinish and is judged as one, though over brass plates it ages much as factory paint does. The finder is the usual 0.91x M3 type with 50, 90 and 135mm framelines.
