The Leica Super-Angulon-M 21mm f/4 Version 1 (1964–1968) is a rare silver-chrome rangefinder lens produced in only 2,200 units. It employs a Biogon-type optical design with 8 elements in 4 groups, derived from the Schneider Super-Angulon large-format formula and adapted for Leica M bayonet. The symmetrical construction delivers exceptional edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal distortion at f/4, making it one of the widest rectilinear optics available for Leica M cameras during the 1960s.
