The Leica M3 Repaint Olive is a rare factory-finished variant of the 1954 M3 rangefinder, produced in olive drab paint for military and expedition use. It retains the original 0.91× magnification viewfinder with 50 mm, 90 mm and 135 mm bright-line frames, coupled rangefinder, and shutter speeds from 1 s to 1/1000 s plus B. Body serial numbers fall within the standard M3 range (700000–950000 series) with the repaint applied at the Leitz Wetzlar factory. The camera accepts all Leica M-mount lenses; no specific lens is fitted to this body.
