The Leica Summarit-M 50mm f/2.5 (factory code 11644) is a compact 6-element in 4-group double-Gauss design derived from the classic Summicron formula. Introduced in 2007 as part of the economical Summarit line, it features one aspherical surface on the second element and anomalous partial-dispersion glass. Built in Solms with Leica’s strict quality tolerances, only 6,500 units were produced before discontinuation in 2014, making it one of the rarer modern M-mount 50mm lenses.
