Order code 11616 is the Leica Historical Society of America finish of the Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH, a hammertone grey to match the society's MP of the same programme. Leica's serial records show LHSA batches of this lens running to 1,000 units in 2003. Optically it is the standard aspherical Summicron: seven elements in five groups with an aspherical surface, f/2 to f/16, E39 filters and 0.7m close focus. The finish rather than the optics is what makes it collected.
