Konica produced Leica thread mount lenses through the 1990s until 2001, and the 60mm f/1.2 Hexanon of 1999 was the fastest of them, a limited edition rather than a catalogue item. Sixty millimetres falls between the standard and short portrait lengths, and no rangefinder carries a frameline for it, so it was always a specialist optic. At f/1.2 it is among the very few lenses of that speed ever made in L39, and it goes onto M bodies through an adapter.
