Product Description

Tom Abrahamsson made the Rapidwinder in Vancouver from 1987 as a simpler, lighter answer to the discontinued Leicavit: a trigger-advance baseplate of alloy, stainless steel and brass, here in silver chrome, that replaces the camera's own. It adds roughly 14mm of height and 125 grams and allows about two frames a second, with a toothed belt drive that runs quieter than the old chain mechanisms. It fits the M4-2, M4-P, M6, M6 TTL, M7 and MP unmodified. Around 3,000 were built, and Abrahamsson died in 2017.
