Leica introduced the APO-Summicron-M 75mm f/2 ASPH in 2005, order number 11637 in black. Seven elements in five groups, one of them aspherical, with apochromatic correction that holds the colour planes together at full aperture. It focuses to 0.7m, takes E49 filters and weighs about 430g, which is modest for what it does. On the M it is the portrait length that stays compact enough to carry all day, and it remains in the current Leica line rather than being a discontinued curiosity.
