HEKON is the Leitz code for the black-finish 7.3cm f/1.9 Hektor in screw mount, HEGRA covering the chrome version. Made from 1931 to 1942, about 7,225 were built in total, which puts it among the scarcer pre-war Leitz lenses. Six elements in three groups and a twelve-blade diaphragm give the soft, glowing rendering wide open that the lens is collected for, firming up from f/4. The barrel is 80mm long and weighs 460 grams, focuses to 1.5m, takes A42 filters and the FGHOO hood.
