The Leica I Model A (1925–1931) represents the first commercially successful 35mm camera, produced in approximately 60,000 units. This example is fitted with the rare early Hektor 50mm f/2.5 in nickel finish, factory code HEKTO. The lens employs a modified Triplet optical design with 6 elements in 4 groups, computed by Max Berek. Its nickel barrel, minimal production numbers, and direct association with the original Leica Model A establish exceptional historical significance and collector rarity.
