The IROOA, later catalogued as 12571, is Leitz's double-trigger clamp-on hood for 35 and 50mm lenses with the E39 front, covering the 3.5cm Summaron, the 3.5cm and 35mm Summicron and the 50mm Summicron. Introduced in 1959, it is black with a wide chrome band and reverses over the lens with its cap in place for carrying. It clips over the filter ring rather than screwing in, so a filter can stay fitted underneath, and it is the shade most often missing from period M and screw-mount outfits.
