The Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 Version 1 (factory code SAMWO/11108) is the original 8-element model introduced in 1958 for the M3. Its optical design is a modified Double Gauss type arranged as 8 elements in 6 groups, computed by Walter Mandler at Leitz Wetzlar. This first version is distinguished by its symmetrical construction, 10-blade diaphragm, and minimum focus of 1 m. Produced in limited numbers until 1961, it remains one of the rarest and most sought-after Summicron-M lenses. A- cosmetic condition.
