Product Description

The rapid-loading M2 was developed against a United States military requirement, Leitz fitting the M4's slotted take-up spool into the M2 body. The run released to the public was badged M2-R, and Leitz built 2,000 of them in a single chrome batch from August 1969, well after standard M2 production had closed in 1968. That makes the M2-R both the last M2 and one of the scarcest. Mechanically it is a late M2, with the 0.72x finder showing 35, 50 and 90mm brightlines.
