KOOHE, order number 10800, is the M2 body sold on its own. The M2 gave the M system its 0.72x finder and was the first Leica rangefinder with 35mm brightlines, showing 35, 50 and 90mm frames, and it is the classic pairing for a 35mm lens. Leitz assigned about 93,221 M2 serial numbers between 1957 and 1968; some 82,000 of those cameras were chrome against roughly 1,851 in black paint, so chrome is the finish nearly every survivor wears.
