A rigid 50mm Summicron refinished in black paint by Kanto Camera in Japan, done to match a black paint M3 outfit. This is an aftermarket refinish rather than a Leitz factory colour, and the paint lies over the brass barrel, so wear shows as yellow metal rather than bright chrome. Underneath is the standard rigid of 1956 to 1968: a seven-element optic, ten-blade diaphragm, E39 filter thread and one-metre minimum focus in a fixed, scallop-gripped barrel.
