Built to individual order through Leica's a la carte programme, this is the mechanical MP in black paint over brass with the 0.85x viewfinder. The standard MP uses 0.72x; the 0.85x and 0.58x magnifications were offered only as a la carte options. The higher magnification lengthens the effective rangefinder base and enlarges the framelines, which makes accurate focus easier with 50mm and longer lenses and at wide apertures. Everything else is standard MP: brass plates, mechanical shutter, silicon-cell meter.
