Leitz's 35mm f/2.8 Summaron succeeded the f/3.5 in 1958, six elements in four groups in a chrome mount taking E39 or A42 filters. This is the goggled version made for the M3, order code SIMWO, number 11106: the spectacles convert that camera's 50mm frameline into a 35mm view, since the M3 has no 35mm frameline of its own, and minimum focus drops to 0.65m. Bayonet production reached about 30,400 between 1958 and 1974; screw-mount examples number 5,289.
