The Leica SOOFM is the dedicated vented metal lens hood for the 50mm f/2 Summitar, produced 1939–1950s with factory code SOOFM. It threads directly onto the Summitar’s 39mm filter ring and features a precisely calculated scalloped profile to eliminate vignetting while shielding the front element. Anodized aluminum construction with Leica engraving, it remains the correct and rare factory accessory for the pre-war and immediate post-war Summitar lenses.
