Product Description

The Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 Version 1 is the original 8-element design introduced in 1958, computed by Walter Mandler as a modified Double Gauss type with 8 elements in 6 groups. Produced exclusively at the Leitz Wetzlar factory for the M3, this early Kanto-repainted example retains the original optical formula that established the benchmark for high-speed 35mm wide-angle performance in the Leica M system. Extremely rare in first-version configuration.
