SOOIC is the Leica screw-mount collapsible Summicron, catalogued from 1953 to 1960 and the first lens Leitz sold under the Summicron name. Seven elements in six groups at f/2 sit in a barrel that pushes into the camera body for carrying. Early production used rare-earth glass, lanthanum and in some batches thorium, for high refractive index with low dispersion; those elements warm to yellow over the decades and can be cleared under UV. Filters are E39, and the rendering is gentle and low in contrast.
