Product Description

Leitz Canada built a large share of the second-version 35mm Summilux at Midland, Ontario, during a run that lasted from 1967 to 1995 and reached roughly 28,350 lenses. The optic is Mandler's seven elements in five groups, unchanged from the Steel Rim original but housed in a lighter black anodised barrel focusing to 1m, with Series VII filtration behind the clamp-on hood and a weight near 245g. Wide open it is deliberately soft and low in contrast, tightening up by f/2.8.
