Announced in 2015 as order number 11668, the Summilux-M 28mm f/1.4 ASPH gave the M system a fast 28 after decades at f/2. Ten elements in seven groups, one aspherical and several in glass of anomalous partial dispersion, keep the drawing clean from full aperture. It takes E49 filters, focuses to 0.7 metres and weighs about 440 grams, small enough to leave the 28mm frame lines largely clear. Black anodised is the series finish; a silver version followed in 2019.
