The Tri-Elmar-M is the only multi-focal lens Leica made for the M, giving 28, 35 and 50mm from one 8 element, 6 group design at a constant f/4. This is the first version, the E55, in silver chrome under order code 11894; later versions moved to an E49 front with the A53 clamp hood. Production of all versions ran from 1998 to 2007 and totalled roughly 8,575 lenses. It weighs about 340 g, and chrome examples are much less often seen than black.
