Leica's answer to the ultra-wide problem on a rangefinder: one M lens covering 16, 18 and 21mm at f/4, set by a click-stopped ring rather than a zoom. Ten elements in seven groups with aspherical surfaces keep distortion and field curvature unusually low for these focal lengths, and close focus is 0.5m. It takes E67 filters on a non-rotating male thread and needs an accessory finder, since no M body shows framelines wider than 28mm. In production since 2006.
