Product Description

Leitz adapted the M2 to the M4's rapid loading system for a United States military requirement, and the version sold to the public was marked M2-R ahead of the serial. Production was a single chrome batch of 2,000 cameras from August 1969, a year after ordinary M2 assembly had ended, which makes it the final and one of the least common M2 variants. Handling is pure M2: 0.72x finder, 35, 50 and 90mm brightlines, cloth focal plane shutter.
