Product Description

The Rollei 35 appeared at photokina in 1966, Heinz Waaske's design for what was then the smallest full-frame 35mm camera: a lens tube that slides back into the body and a CdS meter squeezed in beside it. This is the German-built original with the Zeiss Tessar 40mm f/3.5, made before and alongside the Singapore assembly that began in 1971. Of the original model, 312,000 came from Germany against 185,000 from Singapore, and early German examples are the ones collectors chase.
