The Rollei 35 S put a 40mm f/2.8 Sonnar into the pocket body Heinz Waaske designed, in place of the f/3.5 Tessar of the original, and roughly 260,000 were built between September 1974 and February 1980 in Germany and Singapore. It is still among the smallest full-frame 35mm cameras ever made, with a collapsing lens tube and scale focusing. This is the silver chrome anniversary version, with matching silver chrome covering in place of the usual dark leatherette, a special finish rather than a catalogue colour.
