Product Description

The Leica Kinoptik Apochromat 40mm f/2 is a rare 6-element in 4-group modified Gauss-type cine lens originally produced by Kinoptik of Paris for 35mm motion picture cameras. Hand-modified to Leica M mount, it retains its apochromatic correction across the visible spectrum and exceptional sharpness at full aperture. Extremely scarce due to limited production numbers in the 1950s, this example remains in excellent cosmetic condition.
