The C1 was Leica's compact 35mm autofocus camera of 1999 to 2001, built around a 38-105mm f/4-10.5 Vario-Elmar ASPH zoom of seven elements in seven groups, behind a real-image finder that zooms with the lens from 0.38x to 1.05x. Active infrared autofocus, programmed exposure, a ten-second self-timer and date imprinting round it out, in a 260g body running on a single CR123A cell. Roughly 60,000 were made; this is the black version, order code 18081.
