Product Description

SOOHN is Leitz's clamp-on shade for the 2.8cm f/6.3 Hektor, the first 28mm lens Leitz offered for the screw-mount Leica. It grips the front of the barrel rather than threading in, the way period Leitz shades of the 1930s were made. This one carries the E. Leitz N.Y. engraving used on accessories handled by the New York house, a variant collectors distinguish from Wetzlar-marked examples. It is the correct hood for a pre-war 28mm outfit and now the hardest part of one to find.
