Catalogued EKURZCHROM, this is the chrome-finished 3.5cm Elmar, Leitz's first wide-angle for the screw-mount Leica. The design ran from 1930 to 1950 with more than 46,000 lenses recorded across nickel and chrome. Four elements in three groups on the Tessar pattern, A36 filters, one metre minimum focus, about 112 grams. Post-war coated examples carry Leitz's bloom on the internal surfaces, which lifts contrast against uncoated pre-war glass. The period hood is the FLQOO.
