Order number 11823 is the silver chrome 50mm f/2.8 Elmar-M, Leica's 1994 revival of the collapsible Elmar, produced until 2007 with around 17,461 units recorded across both finishes. Four elements in three groups on the Tessar pattern, a six-blade diaphragm running f/2.8 to f/16 in half stops, E39 filters and 0.7 metre focusing. The silver version is lacquered brass at roughly 245 grams against 170 for the black anodised aluminium, and its matching hood is the 12549.
