The Summaron 35mm f/2.8 was the faster of Leitz's two 35mm wide angles, built in M bayonet from 1958 to 1974 to a total of about 30,400 lenses against only 5,289 in screw thread. Six elements in four groups, a ten-blade click-stop diaphragm running f/2.8 to f/22 and a 64 degree diagonal field, with E39 filters and a chrome mount. This is the plain bayonet version for the M2 and later bodies, without the goggles of the M3 variant, focusing to 0.7m.
