Leitz's fourth 35mm Summicron, code 11310 in black, is the version collectors know as the King of Bokeh, a Walter Mandler design of seven elements in five groups with a ten blade diaphragm, E39 filters, 0.7m focusing and a 160g alloy barrel. Total production ran to 52,993 lenses between 1979 and 1999, in 38 batches. Early Canadian-made examples, the ones the trade calls tiger claw, come from the opening years of that run, before assembly moved to Germany.
