The third version Summicron-M, order number 11817, was made from 1969 to 1979 and was the first widely available in black. It focuses to 0.7m on a long throw, carries a focusing tab and uses a separate clip-on hood rather than the built-in telescoping type of the current lens. Filters are E39 and it weighs about 260g. Both Wetzlar and Canadian production exist, and it is the last Summicron before the 1979 redesign that is still in the catalogue today.
